Morzine sits in the bottom of the valley at 1000m and has direct access to some of the best skiing and snowboarding in the Porte du Soleil, some argue the best skiing and snowboarding in the world! Its situation is ideal for every range and ability of skier or boarder. From the family friendly long blues of Les Gets and surrounding area to the off piste and freestyle parks of Avoriaz and beyond. Switzerland lies only 3 lifts from the chalet in Morzine which you can explore all day and never repeat the same run. We are more than happy to show you around this area and our favourite spots.
Morzine has a great nightlife with plenty of busy bars, pubs and events throughout the week. There are various apres events that happen on certain evenings every week with live music and DJs playng at the bottom of the Pleney slope two evenings a week brought to you by basecamp.
Have a fun day of blues following the white rabbit around Les Gets, great day out. Plenty of sledging and snowman building.
Portes Du Soleil has been voted in the top ten for a beginner friendly resort. There are various magic carpets about the portes du soleil with easily accessible areas with lots of greens and blues for the beginner to explore.
Portes du soleil has always supported the freestyle movement of skiing and snowboarding. In Avoriaz alone there are 4 parks catering for all levels of riders from complete beginners to advanced park rats, the newest one is called the Stash (www.thestash.com) a park funded by Burton snowboards situated in the trees and made entirely of wooden features. We are happy to help you explore/enjoy all that Portes Du Soleil has to offer.
