Summer Events in Morzine

Summer 2017 in Morzine looks set to be as awesome as ever, with multiple events planned in resort from June through to September! There’s definitely something for everyone!

From 10th June, the mountain lifts begin to open up for mountain bikers (see the complete guide of mountain lift opening dates here) and then Crankworx truly kicks off the summer season in style on Wednesday 14th June. Crankworx is an event for any mountain bike lover not to miss, bringing a whole host of biking events, concerts and competitions to Les Gets and of course, the best in the world of mountain bikers!

The annual Passports du Soliel is another bike event not to be missed on Friday 23 to Sunday 25 June! A mountain bike route through Switzerland and France, exploring all sides of the Portes du Soliel, and with terrain ranging from 100m to 2250m in altitude. A super fun bike ride, that anyone can participate in with stunning scenery all the way round! After a successful first event last summer, the Spartan Race returns to Morzine on July 1st and 2nd. The world-leader of obstacle courses, the Spartan race brings to Morzine a weekend of 100% commitment and challenge to push all participants to the limit!! The Harley Days Festival hits resort on  Thursday 13 to Sunday 16 July, taking place in the centre of Morzine with a schedule of events including live music concerts that are free!!

Morzine Plage arrives on Wednesday 26 to Thursday 27 July & Wednesday 09 to Thursday 10 August – find the beach in the very centre of Morzine (Place de l’Office de Tourisme)! Perfect for families!

As is the ‘Morzine Kids Kingdom’ which is an awesome week (Saturday 12th to Friday 18th August) run by the tourist office, for children, with street shows, workshops, games, snacks and endless entertainment for children throughout the week.

Or if you are more of a road cyclist, check out the Alps Haute Route on 26th and 27th August – the first global series of multi-day cycling events for amateurs, these are the highest, toughest and most prestigious amateur races in the world. Find out more here > www.hauteroute.org

And finally, the Mont Blanc Rally arrives in Morzine from Thursday 31 August to Saturday 02 September to finish off the summer season, if fast cars and mountain roads is your thing – this is for you!
