Its situation is ideal for every range and ability of skier or boarder. From the family friendly long blues of Les Gets and surrounding area to the off piste and freestyle parks of Avoriaz and beyond. Switzerland lies only 3 lifts from the chalet in Morzine which you can explore all day and never repeat the same run. We are more than happy to show you around this area and our favourite spots.

Families and children

Beginners
Portes Du Soleil has been voted in the top ten for a beginner friendly resort. There are various magic carpets about the portes du soleil with easily accessible areas with lots of greens and blues for the beginner to explore.

Freestyle areas
Portes du soleil has always supported the freestyle movement of skiing and snowboarding. In Avoriaz alone there are 4 parks catering for all levels of riders from complete beginners to advanced park rats, the newest one is called the Stash (www.thestash.com) a park funded by Burton snowboards situated in the trees and made entirely of wooden features.

If you require to hire skis or snowboard equipment we offer in house ski and board hire. This is brought to you by our partner mobile ski. They offer state of the art equipment at competitive prices and are focused on customer service. On your arrival mobile ski will turn up and fit your equipment in there mobile rental shop. This saves valuable time on the first morning trying to source and fit your equipment.

Lessons

We can arrange your lessons for you depending on what you are looking for, from complete beginner to freestyle coaching there is an option for everyone. We are not qualified instructors but we are more than happy to take you out and give you pointers and if you want some tips and advice in the park we are more than happy to take you there. Just ask!

Children are most welcome in our chalet, and Morzine is the perfect resort to take them. With its selection of child friendly pistes and activities for all to enjoy. We have many games, toys, books, wii , sledges and many more activities to keep the kids entertained while you enjoy a warm vin chaud or an ice cold beer. We can feed the kids early so that you can get them to bed and enjoy your meal later.

We are able to assist with child care arrangements please let us know if this is required or any other special requirements that we can help with, cots, prams, etc on your booking form.
