Spring has arrived in Morzine but that doesn’t mean winter is over, far from it with Avoriaz open until 22nd April this year! In fact, we think the Easter holidays is definitely the best time for a family ski or snowboard holiday and here’s why:
Reduced pass prices and kids ski FREE!
From 1st April, weekly pass prices drop in price by 15 – 20% and the Portes Du Soliel has an amazing offer of 1 free child pass (under 12 years) with every adult PDS pass purchased! This can save you a whopping €162 per child under 12 years of age. Contact us from more details about this deal if you are coming to stay with us!
Soft snow & Sunshine
Late March and April brings sunnier days, which means lovely soft snow, ideal for children (and adults) learning to ski and snowboard. It’s also the perfect time to get in the park during your holiday if you fancy progressing your freestyle skills! With the warmer temperature, there’s also less worry about children getting cold on the mountain and having to wrap them up in multiple layers. Just make sure you pack the sunscreen!
With lifts open from 8.45am through to 4.45pm across the Portes du Soliel, the lighter days mean you can really maximise your mountain time. Take a long break at lunch with the kids or have a late start one morning if the children need some rest.
Picnics on the Piste
The warmer and sunnier weather also lends itself very well to picnics on the pistes, which can save a family a huge amount in comparison to mountain restaurants. Nothing beats a ham and cheese baguette! Just make sure you pack lots of water and stay hydrated on the mountain!
Great Value Chalet Deals
In comparison to other school holiday weeks, the Easter holidays offer lower prices and incredible value for family ski holidays! We book up fast for the Easter holidays each year because of this, so contact us now to find out about Easter 2018 in Morzine or check out our special offers.
